



Author McMahon followed her debut book by another suspense book titled Island of Lost Girls. After some time, author McMahon gave the rights for the publication of the Italian and French versions of the novel. In the following year, the book was released in the UK by Orion Publishing. Following its tremendous opening, the book was also published in Germany under the publication of Rowohlt Verlag. This book was described as partly a ghost story and partly a mystery-thriller, by the Publishers Weekly. The Harper Paperbacks had released this book. The debut novel of McMahon came out in 2007 under the name of Promise Not To Tell. McMahon completed her graduation from the Goddard College and followed it up by studying poetry at the Vermont College. Author McMahon lives with her partner named Drea in civil union and has a daughter with her, named Zella. Initially, she used to live in Barre, Vermont, but has now moved to Montpelier, Vermont. McMahon was born in the year 1968 in Hartford, Connecticut, United States. All her career, she has written on standalone novels, many of which became extremely successful.
